At VCL we measure our frames accordingly:

 

Frame Width – From hinge to hinge, from one side to the other of the frame.

Lens Height – From the highest point of the lens – top to bottom.

Lens Width – From the widest point of the lens – from side to side.

Temple Length – From the hinge to the temple tip end – straight across, not following the shape of the temple.
